Sony has released a new firmware update for its flagship device Xperia Z codenamed C6603. Currently, this new firmware update 10.1.1.A.1.253 is based on the Android 4.1.2 but brings along a number of improvements for the phone. This new handset of the company was introduced a few weeks back and was appreciated by the users for its high quality camera.
It has been certified with the IP57 technology that makes it water resistant and dust proof up to a distance of 1 meter for about 30 minutes. This phone is integrated with amazing specs that are enough to make it stand alongside many other high end phones from some market leaders.
The improvements that are received by Sony Xperia Z along with this firmware update include white balance display calibration, enhanced performance, color of navigation bar and soft key changes to black. These improvements also provide you with an option to disable the notification light amongst other things.
Main highlight amongst the changes bought is the improved camera quality of the phone. The burst samples that are captured using Xperia Z smartphone have better processing and quality in comparison to the ones that are clicked in regular or auto mode. It has been reported that Sony has pulled the imaging algorithm and now the samples taken using the camera of this handset look better.
This new update also provides Xperia Z owners with a new Mini Apps icon, new design for some widgets, soft, notification light on/off toggle and new keyboard skin. The update is available on air and is codenamed as 10.1.A.1.253. It is being rolled out to all the Xperia Z handsets with code number C 6603.
