Sony Xperia Z1 Compact Announced Officially, Up For Sale from Next Month

We have already seen the mini versions for some of the flagship phones of the top manufacturers in the mobile industry including the HTC One Mini and Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini. Now the recent reports have put an indication to a compact version of the Xperia Z1 phone from Sony. The mini version of Xperia Z1 has recently been released in the home country, Japan, while the users were looking forward to get hands-on with the International version of the phone. Finally, the company has announced the international version of the Z1 Mini phone at the CES event.

It has been indicated that the Smartphone will go on sale from the beginning of next month i.e. February 2014 with a name Z1 Compact while the handset was codenamed as “Amami” at FCC. Sony’s President and CEO Kunimasa Suzuki said in a statement that the Xperia Z1 Compact is an addition to the range of premium products they possess globally. He said that this phone broadens their customer base by offering them with a variety of products to choose from.

The upcoming mini version is a compact phone with premium features and quality performance bringing the users a compact Smartphone. Customers got a leaked image of the phone a few days back showing up the rear panel of the Z1 mini handset. Now, they will be getting an option to get hands-on the Smartphone in near future.

It has been suggested that the manufacturer has provide this device with Android 4.3 Operating System along with the 2.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor. There is a 20.7 MP rear camera sensor along with a 2 MP secondary camera sensor. It has been suggested that this Smartphone is water and dust resistant packed with a 2 GB RAM. There is an internal storage of 16 GB with microSD card slot. Sony has provided the users with LTE and the usual options for connectivity.
